People!! here's a very important announcement. if you purchase anything from the famous supermarket "NxxC" (i knew u can guess, dun disappoint me) and need an exchange for goods, PLEASE approach the cashier 1st and place your good at their counter before going in to get the exchanged item. IF NOT, they may think u r a THIEF even if u hav a receipt in hand! well, of cos the cashier din say so, but this is hw i feel when i heard what she said. i was supposed to help my dad change 2 shirts from M to S size and after asking 2 of their staffs who kept asking me to approach sum1 else, i took the 2 S size shirts n went straight to the cashier to ask. this auntie by the name of Teo don't-know-what told me in mandarin in a rather impolite tone. aunty: if you wan to exchange hor, you cannot just go in liddat and take. must put your thing at my place 1st then go leh. me: but i brought a receipt along now~ aunty(raise voice): i know! but i'm telling you, this is our company policy leh. you cannot just go in and take. i was quite pissed with her tone then. it was as if she's reprimanding someone, in front of another customer somemore and so i replied" 所以现在是怎样?" what the hell. i understand that it is not easy standing at work for the whole day and they just want to earn a living, but i'm sure there's a more appropriate way of taking to customer right. ya perhaps it's our fault for buying the wrong size. but the receipt stated that goods sold are to be exchanged within 15 days. nothing else!!!! how on earth will i KNOW what your company's policy is!!! excuse me this is my 1st time exchanging stuff and there isn't a slight mention abt wat so ever policy on e receipt. i even went online to look at the company's website just now and i dun see any info as well. i seriously hope that these front line people can respect young customers as purchaser. you may think i'm too sensitive but i'm SURE, if my mum were the one who went for the exchange, that aunty wont use such a tone. i'm glad NxxC was our 2nd last stop b4 going hm and off we went to old chxxg kxx to buy their famous curry puff. my sis mentioned clearly "2 curry puffs" apparently the auntie(yes! another auntie!) heard 1 and gave 1. so we told the cashier(another person) that we want 2 actually. casher told the auntie: eh they wan 2 la. not 1. auntie: 2 say 2 la. u never say of cos i take 1 la. nx time mus say ma. me (早就很不爽):讲了! cashier: oh haha i think she nv hear properly haha=) auntie(still murmuring none stop): say 2 ma. nv say hw i noe..2 say 2 la...没有讲~~~~~ my sis n i hav no wish to stay on there further so we took our stuff n jus turn our back, GO. this 2 events jus happen to involve aunties by coincident but i really think more training shld b given to treat their customers in a more courteous manner. perhaps i look too young n they thought i'm only abt 15 or 16 and that they do not have to worry about losing such customers. but well, i worked in retail line before and i've met really lousy customers. for that, we dun hav to give them face, but the basic manner shld always be there. and what more, i'm 100% sure i used POLITE n CLEAR tone when i make my request as a customer. 5:36 PM
